  I dropped my cat off the other day to be spayed. I was told after his surgery that they want to keep him over night because he was bleeding to much. The doc explained to me that he has extremely large testicles which made him bruised and sore. Also she stated that older cats will be harder to recover. ( my cat is only 3 yrs old). I asked if someone will be there over night to watch him and I was told no. What!!! Why keep him locked in a cage all alone with no one there to watch him. After picking him up I asked for his antibiotics and pain meds. I was told they gave him a shot and he didn't need any meds. I've been going here for many years while Dr. Missak was the only vet. Since they have moved to a larger building and hired more staff they have been rude & very unorganized. I'm never returning.

  I stopped by their new location yesterday, and the lady behind the counter was extremely rude to me. (She had tattoos down both arms.) I wanted to drop off some of my dog training business cards, but I was informed that they only recommend someone out of Benton (whose not local, or even certified), and that they will not be recommending anyone else (in not such nice terms). I asked to leave the cards anyway and they were denied. So I went back in there today to visit with the owner about how rude the lady was yesterday, and hopefully reach a resolution. I was told that he didn't have time to visit with me. The receptionist told me that she gave him my card and he would call me. Then one of the techs pointed him out. Another lady behind the counter then told the tech that he doesn't have time to talk to me. So I went outside where he was standing and asked if he had time to talk with me. He said yes, then immediately the same woman who was rude to me yesterday came outside and told him that he was needed immediately in the back. So he looked at me and said, "Well I guess I don't have time to visit with you." REALLY??? All I wanted to do was enlighten him about how rude this lady was to me yesterday so that he could address the matter, and they have to be even more rude today??? I gave them one star because no stars isn't an option. Can't say that I will be recommending them to any of my clients, and I will NEVER, EVER darken their door again... My business also does not endorse, refer to, recommend, or utilize the services of Jacksonville Animal Hospital.
